MieRo: “I came to this TI in the best shape and with the best mental state.”
BoomBoys (BetBoom Team) offlaner Matvey “MieRo” Vasyuni spoke in an interview at The International 2026 about his preparations for the tournament, his favorite heroes, his opponents, and his desire to lift the Champion’s Aegis.
On preparing for The International 2026
After we finished the previous tournament, we went to boot camp. It lasted about a week. We also played a small tournament and worked on our mental state with our coach. He’s in charge of psychological preparation.
On the team’s mood after successful tournaments
It wasn’t about having a lot of self-confidence. At this tournament, we just had a good vibe within the team, and we didn’t spam the voice chat. When you’re confident, you don’t spam the chat. That’s the most important thing.
On favorite heroes
Right now, I like Nature’s Prophet, Dark Seer, and Axe the most. But it all depends on how many games I’ve already played. If I play another 10 games in a row, I’ll get really tired. So right now, I’d say Axe, Dark Seer, and Nature’s Prophet.
On Mental Preparation
Of course, I came to this TI in better shape and with a better mental state because we’ve worked hard on that. A performance coach joined us—he’s our psychologist and helps us out. So, I think things will be much better this time.
On PARIVISION’s strengths and weaknesses
PARIVISION’s (TEAM VISION) greatest strength is the individual skill of its players. They play well at the micro level and have excellent control over their heroes. Their weakness, however, is that they can sometimes give away a game. For example, they might lose a single hero on the map when the opponent has already secured an advantageous position.
On the teams we enjoy playing against
We enjoy playing against 1w Team (Iron Wings), Team Spirit, and Team Yandex. Those matches are always like a movie.
On who has improved the most on the team
Kiritych, because he joined our team a year and a half ago, as far as I remember. He’s improved tremendously since then.
On the dream of winning The International
I started playing professionally in 2017, when Team Liquid won the tournament. Back then, I told myself I’d lift the Aegis. And I haven’t changed my mind since. That’s my true dream and, essentially, my goal.
Earlier, in an interview on Alexey “Solo” Berezin’s stream, Matvey compared PARIVISION and Team Yandex: “Yandex plays well on the map, especially during rotations in the first 10–15 minutes. PARIVISION is probably a bit better at team fights, in theory.”
