Aurora Gaming midlaner Raflay “Mikoto” Fatur Rahman spoke in an interview following the team’s elimination from BLAST Slam VIII about the team’s performance at the tournament and shared the team’s plans.
To be honest, I expected us to perform better. I think we made a lot of mistakes in team fights and were afraid to initiate fights.
We got off to a bad start on the first map; we gave them everything they wanted, and it was pretty tough to play against their heroes.
We’ll take a break. Ws and I are going to Southeast Asia to relax for a couple of weeks, and then we’ll start boot camp in two weeks. We’ll practice, have discussions, and all that.
We achieved a decent result. Obviously, the top-3 teams are tough to beat, and we’re trying to outplay them. We’ll perform better next time.
Aurora Gaming lost to PARIVISION in the lower bracket semifinals of the BLAST Slam VIII playoffs. The team finished in 4th place and earned $50,000 for the players and $15,000 for the team.
