Mira on Tier 2 teams in Dota 2: “They should watch the Tier 1 scene more and learn more.”

Aurora Gaming support player Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov spoke about the recent match and named his preferred opponent in the tournament during an interview following their victory over Level UP in the group stage of the Esports World Cup 2026.

On whether the team expected an easy victory

Yes, because they’re a team from the qualifiers—they’re from the Tier 2 scene—so we expected an easy win, and it was easy.

On what Mira thought when he saw the opponent’s drafts

They’re just picking heroes from public matches that are played a lot, but that doesn’t work as well in competitive matches.

On how a Tier 2 team can rise to Tier 1 level

They should watch the Tier 1 scene more and learn more. They need to see what’s being played there and maybe even copy it, because that’s the only way to get better.

On a Desired Opponent

Perhaps Team Liquid, because we need to beat them to take first place in the group, so they’re our main rival. Maybe PlayTime, since they’re playing pretty well, too.
