Team Liquid Technical Director Ben “Noxville” Stenhøisen shared a team ranking table based on the Gliko-2 system on X following DreamLeague Season 29.

Here is a snapshot of the current Gliko-2 rankings from datdota and Liquipedia. It’s clear that there are no major “snubs” regarding invitations (PARIVISION and Team Spirit’s rankings are high due to recent results) or regional qualifiers. But note that China’s third team (Yakult) is ranked 24th overall.

If it’s not clear, the X column here shows which teams are expected to qualify through regional qualifiers (assuming there are no major upsets). It’s simply a visual representation of why teams from South America and Southeast Asia might feel they deserve a second slot.

Earlier, Valve announced the list of teams that will participate in the tournament of the year without having to go through qualifiers. The organizers of The International 2026 have reserved four regional slots for Europe and two more for China.
