Over the past week, the Dota 2 test server has been updated 9 times.
The developers released a number of updates to the Dota 2 test server on the night of December 2–3.
The server was updated from version 3309 to 3318; this usually happens before new content is added to the game. Currently, the community is awaiting a balance patch and the second part of the “Dark Carnival” event.

The first part of the “Dark Carnival” was released on June 26 of this year. Currently, all acts have been unlocked, and the game has announced that the second part of the event will be released soon, though no specific date has been given. The most recent balance patch for Dota 2 was released on August 1.
