Dota 2 Update as of September 12, 2026: “Quartero’s Curiosities” voiceover for the Chinese client
On the night of September 12, the Dota 2 developers released two updates that improved the game’s localization.
List of Changes
- Voice files for “Quartero’s Curiosities” have been added to the Chinese-language client.
- Translations for several languages have been updated.
The update size was 8.8 MB.

Earlier, Team Liquid’s technical director Ben “Noxville” Stenheisen reported that Dota 2 had reached its highest concurrent player count since tracking began via Valve’s API in 2023. The number of players reached 8.8 million.
