On Talents and Damage with Bloodthorn
Look, Enchantress’s talents: 30 attack speed and 25 damage to controlled units. I think… I’m not sure, but when you use Aghanim’s Scepter, creeps become yours for six seconds, and each one gets that 30 attack speed and 25 damage.
So we just tear through any target. And with Bloodthorn—it’s just from full health to zero. Imagine if you also have Scythe of Vyse on top of that: people can’t even press anything; they just die.
And the ability to push lanes with Aghanim’s Scepter is insane. You get two creeps, each of which deals an additional 80 damage. <…> We split-push at the speed of light and rake in a ton of gold. An underrated hero.
Bonus attack speed is 70. That’s 70 plus 30 from your talent—which adds up to 100 attack speed and 25 damage per creep. It’s insane.
About Ability Leveling
Why do I keep my ability point at level two? Basically, you keep it in case you need healing. There are different ways to play the lane. It all depends on the situation. If you’re taking a lot of damage, you can level up healing once.
If you see that, say, you can’t break through this hero because Dragon Knight is very tanky, you can take Enchant to level 2. This will give your creep an additional 20 damage. Then you pick a ranged creep and the two of you start finishing off and denying creeps together. That way, you can outperform your opponent in these stats.
But if you see that you’re already dominating them, I think it’s worth upgrading Spears at level three and really beating them down. But all of this is complicated, and I don’t know the right answer yet, because I’m trying out a lot of different things while playing Enchantress.
On Good and Bad Matchups in Mid Lane
I think she’s very good against Ember Spirit. Against Invoker—not bad, if we’re talking about meta heroes. Against Outworld Destroyer—okay. Against Dragon Knight—not so good. If DK plays well, I think you’ll suffer.
On choosing between Power Treads and a quick Aghanim’s Scepter
What I’ve recently realized is when you want to buy Power Treads—and when you don’t. I think you don’t want to buy Power Treads if you’re not really able to move around the map and kill all those heroes.
For example, you can kill Pudge, and it’s not a bad idea to have Power Treads against him. Against DK—it’s 50-50. I wouldn’t say it’s a strong item. So in situations like that, I think you can skip Power Treads and try to buy Aghanim’s Scepter sooner, because that’s the item that really changes the game for you.
Like I said, I’m still learning to play this hero. I don’t know yet what’s right and what’s wrong. I’m skipping Power Treads. I think it’s more cost-effective that way. I also thought about trying Falcon Blade alongside Power Treads to get maximum damage while still maintaining good mana regeneration. <…>
Buy Aghanim’s Scepter as soon as possible. In one game, it was around the 13-minute mark. That’s pretty early, but you can get it even sooner. I think the average timing is around the 14-minute mark.
Since early October, Dendi has played 55 matches as Enchantress and secured 27 wins, with an average KDA of 3.67. The core of his build consists of Magic Wand, Power Treads, and an early Aghanim’s Scepter, which he typically gets by the 16th minute. Among his subsequent major items, Blink Dagger, Black King Bar, and Bloodthorn are the most common.
