Satanic on PARIVISION: “There’s a lot of negativity in the game right now.”

We’re just playing worse than they are. There’s no secret to it. I think our drafts were fine. We’re just playing worse, our communication is worse, our attitude is worse—everything’s worse.

[Question: Noticed said you were fired up but planning to test something. Were those the tests?] No, not really. We didn’t test anything. We played with good strategies. <…>

[Question: No tilt after the game?] No tilt. We’ll try to improve. It’s a complicated situation because it’s not immediately clear what to do, but we’ll watch the replays and try to get better.

I think there are three teams—Team Yandex, us, and Team Spirit. Whoever is better prepared will win. There’s also Team Liquid—they’re good. I think it’ll go back and forth. We’ll be battling the same guys over and over.

Our plans are simply to beat them and try to improve. Right now, we’re not in the best shape. On the second map, it’s really obvious that we don’t know how to play it. I don’t think it’s because of the heroes. We’re just playing worse, and it’s unclear what to do.

In terms of vibe, things have definitely gotten worse for us at these tournaments—it’s much harder. The period when we were just beating everyone is over. <…> The vibe at The International was great, but now we’re just not really able to play Dota well. We’re playing fine, we just can’t beat these teams… Team Yandex is probably easier to beat than Team Spirit because they’re a more manageable opponent. We just can’t seem to beat Spirit yet. <…>

There’s a lot of negativity in the game itself right now. [Question: Could there be too much noise in the voice chat?] Yeah, there’s a lot of that.

Probably Yarik “Miposhka” and Zhenya “Noticed.” Rue and I played together for a long time on Yellow Submarine, but I wouldn’t say we were good teammates.
