Team Yandex defeated Team Liquid in the group stage of PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE
Team Yandex defeated Team Liquid in the group stage of PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE. The match ended with a score of 2-1.
On the first map, the teams were evenly matched until Yandex took the lead at the 22-minute mark. After that, the team steadily built on its advantage and eventually opened the series with a win. In the second game, Alexander “Accell” Litvinenko’s squad played more confidently on the lanes, but the “Horses” seized the lead in the mid-game. The third map went in favor of the “Geese.”
Thus, Yandex was unable to maintain its perfect winning streak—prior to this, the team had won four matches without dropping a single map. This match only affected the playoff seeding, as the sole team to be eliminated from Group A is already known.
PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE is being held online from October 22 to November 1, with a prize pool of $250,000. So far, 15 of the 17 series played have ended with a 2-0 score.
