Puppey: “1w Team is the best team.”

PARIVISION coach Clement “Puppey” Ivanov spoke about 1w Team, team playstyles, and overpowered heroes on the professional scene in a vlog from the Esports World Cup 2026 on the team’s YouTube channel.
On 1w Team
Not right now, but I’d say 1w Team is the best team. Maybe they won’t win this tournament, but before that, when we arrived here, we played a couple of qualifiers, and they really showed us what they’re made of. They came up with a lot of the strategies we’re seeing now—all those ideas, like with Dark Seer and the “spirits.” Everything they showed us was incredibly strong. Well, we knew those heroes were decent, but we didn’t realize they were that good.
On team playstyles
All teams try to play very well, and sometimes it looks like they’re doing the same thing—picking the same heroes. But there are teams that play completely differently. Maybe it’s because of the region. Or maybe they’ve just always had that playstyle. Team Liquid plays differently. Aurora Gaming, PARIVISION, Team Yandex, and 1win—the four of us play almost the exact same version of Dota 2. So, maybe we’ll win now, but if our style gets nerfed, then other teams will start winning.
On overpowered heroes
Here’s what I said about Dark Seer—there are other heroes, like Night Stalker, who fell out of the meta, but now everyone’s thinking about them in every game. Because of that, I’d say 33 has done a great job of coming up with their own version of Dota 2.
Take Watson, Pure, Satanic, and Yatoro. They can do more interesting things than others. But I’d say these players are the best last-hitters and laners. They know how to play very aggressively. And that’s why heroes like Drow Ranger and Shadow Fiend look like super-tanks.
Earlier, PARIVISION defeated BetBoom Team 3–1 in the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2026 Grand Final and became this year’s champion. The team earned $750,000 and 1,000 EWC Club Championship points.
