Seleri expressed regret over TaiLung’s ban from PGL tournaments

Former esports player Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp expressed regret on his personal X page regarding the suspension of Santiago Gustavo “TaiLung” Olivio Agüero from the PGL Championships.
I’m sorry about what happened with LGD Gaming, but also with TaiLung. I was desperate for money when I was 17, so I understand that this kind of thing can happen. Adults sometimes make idiotic decisions. Kids can make terribly foolish choices.
It’s sad that this happened to a kid. Damn it, it’s all the fault of those betting ads that are absolutely everywhere. I agree that we shouldn’t excuse his behavior, but I don’t know how many facts we have. Was he fixing matches before he became a star? Maybe he was threatened to keep doing it, or else he’d be exposed? I’d rather place more of the blame on the normalization of gambling than on this 17-year-old kid.
Earlier, Igor “iLTW” Filatov pointed out the wrongness of Santiago Gustavo “TaiLung” Olivio Agüero’s decisions: “He should’ve been ‘crushed’ when he was already old, you know? When he’d already made enough money—but definitely not at 17.”
