Team Spirit analyst Mark “sikle” Lerman discussed an ongoing bug with Bounty Hunter’s passive ability on his personal Telegram channel, one that teams are regularly encountering at The International 2026.
In the main group, I wrote about how Bounty Hunter’s passive wasn’t working then and still isn’t working now. The repetitive text, delivered with a sad tone, about teams picking a broken hero wasn’t because those teams are stupid (I fully understand all the reasons why they’re picking the hero and why), but rather as a bit of irony about the fact that such a bug is still present at the main tournament. Now that the hero is gaining popularity, let’s see how many potential shekels the hero was losing per match. The image shows 9 matches played, excluding the brand-new TY vs. Liquid match.
On average, 4% of the total net worth was lost across all matches, with a maximum of 6%. It might not seem like much, but the bug is significant, and the hero will be stronger if/when it’s fixed, because it speeds up timings and directly affects his macro play. Overall, minor bugs like this have a subtle but noticeable impact throughout matches. I remember one such bug back in the day when, due to a glitch, Spirit Bear dealt 33% more damage to buildings—we actually won one of the tournaments with him (if I’m not mistaken; I don’t remember), but I only noticed the bug after the fact.
Pro tip: Since the rework, you can no longer click on Track’s debuff on enemies to see how much gold they have. That information is no longer displayed.
Earlier, Mark mentioned that Lina’s left talent at level 25 doesn’t work in combination with items that grant critical strike damage: “Reddit users have already exposed the bug a bit, so a fix might come as early as today.”
