G2 Esports sniper Artem “r1nkle” Moroz spoke in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 about his time on the Ninjas in Pyjamas bench, as well as reflecting on his playing style and the “Samurai’s” opponents in this tournament.
I’m very grateful to NIP for moving me to the bench. While I was inactive, I grinded a lot in CS, worked on my mental game, and generally took a break from the team atmosphere. I think this period did me a world of good. By the time I joined G2, I was fully ready to train and return to the pro scene.
When I first joined NIP, I played very flashily—I was aggressive and went for every 1v1. That won’t work anymore, since many teams are prepared for my style. In any case, I’ll definitely play aggressively, without fearing my opponents. We’ll see how it turns out.
I don’t care about our opponents. I’m only thinking about us showing good teamwork and maintaining a positive attitude. It doesn’t matter who our opponent is—Spirit, Vitality, or FURIA. We need to focus on ourselves and enjoy the game.
G2 Esports defeated Astralis in the Esports World Cup 2026 playoff match with a score of 2-1 (6-13 on Ancient, 13-6 on Dust2, and 13-7 on Inferno). The “Samurai” are now facing off against FURIA for a spot in the tournament’s semifinals.
