FaZe Clan sniper Jason “JBOEN” Bo Nielsen, in an interview at the 2026 Esports World Cup, reflected on his adjustment to the Tier 1 scene, discussed how he handles pressure, and shared his expectations for the match against Team Vitality.
Perhaps the hardest part is changing my lifestyle. I’m still getting used to traveling and being away from home for long periods of time. I have a lot of tournaments ahead of me, so I think I’ll be able to adapt to these new realities. As for my form, I still have some things to work on. That said, I feel like I’m getting stronger every day. Overall, my adjustment to the Tier 1 scene is going pretty well.
Right now, I’m having a hard time keeping my nerves in check during crucial moments. To cope with the pressure, I talk to our performance coach, and I also discuss my expectations and current individual skill level with my parents. Of course, I always want to perform as well as possible, but I also need to enjoy the game and pay attention to the tempo. I’m often hard on myself and don’t let my emotions get the better of me.
I’ve never played against Vitality before. It might be too early to say this, but I think we can beat them if we go into the match with the same confidence as before and just do our job. Although Vitality isn’t in top form right now, they’re still a damn strong team. We definitely shouldn’t underestimate them.
Earlier, FaZe Clan defeated Legacy 2-0 in a group stage match at the 2026 Esports World Cup, securing their spot in the playoffs. The team is now facing Team Vitality for a spot in the tournament’s quarterfinals.
