Sodbayar “Techno4K,” rifler for The MongolZ In an interview at the CS2 Esports World Cup 2026, Munkhbold shared his thoughts after being eliminated from the tournament, commented on the loss to Team Falcons, and identified the main issues that affected the team’s performance.
Inferno is currently our most successful map, and, just as importantly, it’s the most comfortable for everyone on the team. That’s exactly why we chose it. The map pool played out exactly as expected: Inferno for us, Dust2 for our opponents, and Nuke as the decider.
Overall, we were the weaker team in this best-of-three series. We struggled immensely in every round; even our wins were never easy. We experienced numerous issues on the server, mainly with our economy. The turning point was our loss at 7–7 on Dust2—it was after that that we really fell behind, not only in terms of in-game resources but also in terms of morale.
I think a result like this should once again serve as a reminder that we’re still not good enough, both as a team and individually. Nothing went according to plan at this event, and we definitely need to step up our game. For our two rookies, this was their first major tournament on the big stage and their first experience facing the strongest teams. They were undoubtedly very nervous and felt the pressure—I could tell from the overall atmosphere.
