SirActionSlacks commented on PlayTime’s disqualification from the 2026 Esports World Cup in Dota 2
Esports host Jake “SirActionSlacks” Kanner spoke on his personal YouTube channel about PlayTime’s disqualification from the 2026 Dota 2 Esports World Cup and BetBoom Team’s performance at the same tournament.
On PlayTime’s disqualification from the 2026 Esports World Cup
Listen, I don’t want to throw around accusations until we have the facts, but if the obvious happened and there was some kind of “322” scheme between the coach and DarkMago, then that cost the up-and-coming roster the chance to get absolutely crushed by one of the European teams… What a tragedy for South American Dota 2. I hope that wasn’t the case.
On BetBoom Team’s performance at the Esports World Cup 2026
We have to give BetBoom Team credit. They made their way from the survival stage all the way to the grand final with a 13-game winning streak and came on very strong: MieRo` carried practically the entire team with his Timbersaw. But alas, as soon as they faltered, it was all over.
Earlier, Jake “SirActionSlacks” Kanner spoke about The International: “I think the legacy of TI is a bit broken—and not just because of the prize pool. Because the prize pool isn’t that important. It’s about the prestige—being the best in a way no one else can.”
