Speeed: “Force Staff is a classic defensive item for Lion; you can also take Aether Lens.”

GamerLegion support player Paul “Speeed” Bochichio shared tips on playing Lion on his YouTube channel and discussed how to improve warding skills.
About the Blink Dagger
When you’re very close to getting a Blink Dagger, there’s no need to slow down your pace and farm creeps. If your ultimate is ready, just keep playing your usual style, get involved in fights, and build the item that way. But if you’re still a long way from Finger of Death, you should consider going to farm; be sure to ask your allies directly to let you finish off an important target.
On choosing a defensive item
Force Staff is a classic defensive item for Lion; you can also take Aether Lens and play from long range, but most players still choose Glimmer Cape, Force, Ghost Scepter, or some other artifact. The point is that when you initiate, you’ll almost certainly get counterattacked—after all, you’re a fragile hero who jumps forward. These items will help you survive. So pick them wisely.
About Warding
Guys, here’s an important point about warding: try to spread your vision across the map. If, say, you already have an Observer Ward in the mid lane and on the top lane—place the next one on the bottom lane. You know what I mean? Simple but important things like that.
Earlier, Paul “Speeed” Bochiaccio commented on picking Night Stalker for the mid lane against Puck: “At the five-minute mark, night falls, and the prolonged silence—about five seconds or even longer depending on the ability level—becomes a nearly insurmountable problem for Puck.”
