Analyst Khaled “sQreen” El-Habbash, in a comment on the FONBET Esports Telegram channel, discussed the Dota 2 rating adjustments and highlighted the main changes in Patch 7.41e.

The quote is reproduced with the source’s spelling and punctuation intact

➕: A smaller gap between players means more opportunities to overtake them and stand out.
➖: No one has cared about the rating for a long time now. I don’t think this will serve as any kind of incentive for everyone to start trying harder in matchmaking again.

The latest patch didn’t change much. I’ll highlight the more difficult gate run, since routes now make it harder to execute. Ancient Apparition now has a 50-second cooldown on his ultimate starting at level six, which gives his team more opportunities to dictate the pace and secure kills.
And perhaps most importantly—damage from multiple Divine Rapier items no longer stacks. This means Zeus in the ultra-late game with a bunch of rapiers at base won’t be able to play Dota anymore.

Patch 7.41e was released simultaneously with an adjustment to the ratings of players occupying high positions on the MMR leaderboard. PARIVISION carry Alan “Satanic” Galliamov lost over 8,000 points and is now in fourth place on the European leaderboard.
