Nigma Galaxy’s carry player, Said Samail “SumaiL” Hassan, spoke in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 about his frequent return to the carry position and commented on the recent years of setbacks.
On why he returns to the carry position
I’m not sure, to be honest. I was sitting at home, I was asked to play carry, and I said, “Yes.” There’s no particular reason behind it.
On whether he’s asked to play support
No, I probably wouldn’t do that anyway—I don’t have time. [No time to switch positions or what?] Just no time.
On the biggest challenge of his career
I think there have been a lot of ups and downs over the past five years, so I’d say—those.
On how it feels to lack major achievements in recent years
It’s pretty tough, especially when you win your first two major events, like I did. Because if you don’t win after that, whatever you do feels like a step backward. Of course, that affects your mindset, but you have to keep moving forward with support from your family and so on.
