SumaiL on The International 2026: “This is probably my last tournament.”
Nigma Galaxy’s Kerrie Said Samail “SumaiL” Hassan, in an interview following their elimination from The International 2026, spoke about the likely end of his career and thanked fans for their support.
On whether we should expect the roster to return
I don’t know—we gave it our all, everything looked pretty good. We were just one game short of the top 3 yesterday, and today we had a good series, but something went wrong. As for the team, I’m not sure—this is probably my last tournament.
On whether there’s a chance he’ll reconsider his statement that he won’t compete at The International again
I’ll have to think about it, but unfortunately, I don’t see that happening.
A message to the fans
Thank you all for your support over the years; it’s been tough for us. After all, I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: you’re the ones who make Dota 2 awesome; we’re just playing a video game. A big thank you to everyone.
Nigma Galaxy lost to BetBoom Team (BoomBoys) in the first round of the lower bracket at The International 2026 and finished in 5th–6th place, earning $163,805. Right now, PARIVISION (TEAM VISION) and Team Yandex are facing off.
