Team Spirit defeated GLYPH, and Team Yandex beat OG in the group stage of BLAST Slam VII

Team Spirit and Team Yandex won their matches in the second set of the second day of the BLAST Slam VII group stage.

Team Yandex came out of the lanes with a 5,000-gold lead, which allowed them to control the game throughout and pull further and further ahead of OG. The map ended at the 21-minute mark with a score of 29-4 in favor of Yandex.

Team Spirit got off to a strong start. In the mid-game, Leon “Arthur” Lee’s squad managed to slow down the “Dragons,” but the Eastern European team soon regained its footing and, in the late game, secured a sufficient lead to close out the match in their favor.

At this point, Yandex is the only team that has not lost a single game in the group stage; the team sits in first place in the standings with a 4-0 record.

The group stage of BLAST Slam VII is being held remotely online from May 26 to 29. Participants still have a theoretical chance to advance to the final stage or the last-chance stage. The playoffs will be hosted by the BLAST studio in Copenhagen.
