Team Spirit and Vici Gaming proved to be stronger than Team Liquid and GamerLegion, respectively, in the group stage of The International 2026.
First, Spirit and Liquid traded map wins. In the third game, the “Dragons” gained an advantage in the mid-game, which they capitalized on throughout the match. The final map ended with a score of 38–22 in Spirit’s favor.
GL played confidently in the mid-game of the first map and finished it with a threefold lead in hero kills—44 to 13. After that, VG evened the series and won the third map.
As a result, the “Dragons” advanced to the 3:0 bracket and will face PARIVISION (TEAM VISION), while the “Horses” and Vici ended up in the 2:1 bracket. GL’s record stands at 1:2.
The International 2026 is taking place from August 13 to 23. This year’s prize pool is divided into two parts: the initial pool is $1.6 million, and it will be supplemented by proceeds from the sale of support packs for teams and studio staff.
