I don’t want to think that the Falcons were given an extra day off or that Spirit wasn’t given an extra day off, but what’s happening at the EWC gives pause for thought. The organizers may drastically change the schedule for the Dota 2 final tournament’s playoff matches.
The scheduled matches between Nigma and BB, and Falcons and ViCi, may be postponed until tomorrow, while the matches between Yandex and Spirit, and Parivision and Rune Eaters, will take place today.
A little later, Dmitry added:
It’s been confirmed. The schedule has been rearranged: Yandex vs. Spirit will play today in the first slot, and Parivision vs. Rune Eaters in the second. I can’t imagine how the teams must feel, finding out at night that they’re playing first thing in the morning.
Earlier, Dmitry commented on Valve’s requirement to change the names of teams that include the names of betting companies for The International 2026: “It’s hard to talk about naming conventions and fairness when some are allowed to keep ‘BB,’ others ‘1W,’ and still others ‘hooLIGAni.’”
