Twenty players from Russia will compete at The International 2026, setting a new record.

The International 2026 will feature the largest number of players from Russia and Eastern European teams in the tournament’s history.
Number of participants from Eastern Europe at The International over the past 5 years:
- The International 2026 — 6 teams from the region, 30 players, and 6 coaches;
- The International 2025 — 5 teams from the region, 30 players, and 5 coaches;
- The International 2024 — 4 teams from the region, 27 players, and 5 coaches;
- The International 2023 — 5 teams from the region, 29 players, and 7 coaches;
- The International 2022 — 2 teams from the region, 23 players, and 5 coaches.

- The International 2026 — 20 players and 3 coaches;
- The International 2025 — 16 players and 3 coaches;
- The International 2024 — 17 players and 3 coaches;
- The International 2023 — 19 players and 6 coaches;

The International 2026 will take place in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China, from August 13 to 23. Sixteen teams will compete for the title of champions of the year’s premier tournament. Currently, the tournament’s total prize pool stands at $1,600,000.
