Valve has restricted viewing of high-rated matches via DotaTV
In Dota 2, it is no longer possible to watch high-rated matches via the “Watch” tab. This was reported by Team Spirit analyst Mark “sikle” Lerman.

It is now impossible to watch matches of friends with >8500 MMR via DotaTV. Attempting to do so will result in an error.

Previously, the developers restricted the ability to watch games with a high average rating for users on the friends list. This feature was used for automated data collection on professional players’ matches.
