Wits commented on PlayTime’s withdrawal from the 2026 Esports World Cup in Dota 2

PlayTime carry Hector “Wits” Orozco Alsá commented on his personal social media accounts regarding the team’s withdrawal from the 2026 Dota 2 Esports World Cup due to allegations that some team members were involved in match-fixing.
Hi everyone!
I want to say a few words because I know many of you have been waiting for an update on this situation. Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to discuss the investigation or the situation itself, so I have to respect that decision. But I can say that I’m fully cooperating with the investigation and doing everything I can to help ensure that everyone involved gets what they deserve and doesn’t escape accountability.
I hope everything gets resolved soon. Thank you to everyone who has supported me—it means a lot to me. To be honest, I’m really sad that I wasn’t able to continue competing in this tournament. It was the first time I stepped onto the stage and was able to feel all the support and excitement from the audience. I’d been looking forward to this moment ever since I watched the ESL One Birmingham 2026 Grand Final from the stands.
I’ll keep working hard and playing Dota 2 because I truly love this game, and I’ll give it my all in all future tournaments.
Earlier, PlayTime announced the removal of coach Juan David “Vintage” Angulo Nicho and players Oswaldo Gonzalo “DarkMago” Herrera Martínez and Frank “Frank” Arias from the roster, after which the organization announced the start of a team restructuring and a search for new Dota 2 roster members.
