Wits on communication within PlayTime at the 2026 Games of the Future Dota 2 tournament: “We thought it would be easy, but it turned out not to be.”
PlayTime’s carry, Héctor “Wits” Orosco Als spoke in an interview at Games of the Future 2026 about team communication with players from different regions, commented on the victory over Execration, and wished LGD Gaming’s midlaner good luck in their match against Zero Tenacity.
On choosing Earthshaker for Scofield
During the draft, Scofield asked for Earthshaker. I knew it was risky and dangerous, but I trusted him. I think he just wanted to play Earthshaker for TikTok clips.
On picking Clinkz as the carry instead of Necrophos
Jabz didn’t have a good hero, so we decided to give him one that would create space. I almost picked Kez for myself, but we figured Clinkz would be better.
On the best player in the match against XctN and Abed
Everyone [played well]. If I had to pick the best, it’s probably Abed. He talks a lot and knows the map really well. You saw how he clears creeps and does a lot of things in the game.
He doesn’t try to force his ideas on others and just plays his own game. The problem arises when he tries to coordinate with the supports, because I have to translate for them.
On team communication during the 2026 Future Games
We thought it would be easy, but it turned out not to be. I have to translate on the fly during the game. I told Abed: if you need to tell Scofield something, let me know, and I’ll translate. I even have to help out on the line when Scofield wants to tell Jabz something or vice versa—and it goes on like that the whole game.

PlayTime defeated Execration 2-1 in the decisive round. Next, PT will face GLYPH for a spot in the Games of the Future semifinals; the loser will be eliminated from the tournament. Wits’ team could face LGD either in the third-place match or in the grand final.
