Yatoro on the match against Team Yandex: “We tried, we fought—but it didn’t work out for us.”
Team Spirit carry Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk commented on the loss to Team Yandex in the upper bracket final of BLAST SLAM VIII. A video featuring the player was posted on the team’s Telegram channel.
Hi, everyone. Today we lost 0-2 to Team Yandex. Overall, I think it was pretty easy for them to play—we messed up the draft, and they shut us down on the lanes very easily. It was the same story in both games: it was pretty tough for us to play—that’s basically it. It was hard to impose our style of play. We tried, we fought—but it didn’t work out. Tomorrow we’ll be playing against the winner of the Aurora Gaming vs. PARIVISION match.
On October 11, in the lower bracket final, Team Spirit will face PARIVISION—the team that knocked Aurora Gaming out of BLAST SLAM VIII, leaving them in fourth place.
The BLAST SLAM VIII playoffs are taking place from October 8–11 in Malta. The tournament’s prize pool is $750,000, of which $200,000 is reserved for the teams.
