Yuma on the reason for their loss to 1w Team at EWC 2026 in Dota 2: “We just made a lot of mistakes during the second Roshan.”

LGD Gaming carry Yuma “Yuma” Langle spoke in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 about the reason for their loss to 1w Team in the tournament’s group stage and commented on how the match start times affected the team’s performance.
On the loss on the first map against 1w Team on the third day of competition
Yeah, yesterday was a tough day. I think we just made a lot of mistakes during the second Roshan in that game, and I’d say that’s one of the main reasons for our loss. But I don’t really count the first game. [Okay, so it’s like that game doesn’t even exist?] That game doesn’t exist. That’s the mindset we’ve adopted as a team.
On the difficulty of emotionally resetting after losses
To be honest, we’ve had the last matches of each game day, so to answer your question, it wasn’t that hard because we understood: the problem was only our mistakes during the laning phase. We just played very poorly at the start of the game. As for the fact that our matches are always the last ones, you spend the whole day constantly thinking, “We still have to play; we need to mentally prepare for this match.” But, as I see it, that actually helps. You know what time the game will start, and that lets you reset. At least, it works for us.
On whether playing in the last group of the tournament day affects concentration
A little bit. Because it seems to me that if you’re playing in the first or second set of matches, you wake up knowing you have to play in a few hours, you play the match, and then you have the whole day left to just relax a bit. But for us... Yes, we need to be ready.
Earlier, LGD Gaming players Yuma “Yuma” Langle and Mateusz “KJ” Santos Jungles Diniz spoke about the team’s progress, the reasons behind their successful performance at BLAST Slam VII, their confidence heading into The International, and the significance of the year’s biggest tournament for their careers.
