I watched Rekrent’s stream. The skill ceiling for movement in Deadlock is just enormous. Literally, if CS is a 3 out of 10 in terms of difficulty and Dota 5 is a 5, then Deadlock is an 11. I think in some tournaments, these pixel-perfect jumps across half the map will become standard, but the main question is: how much should the average player have to struggle with this? Fortnite took off like crazy back in the day. The gap between pros and noobs was massive, but that didn’t stop a ton of casuals from playing.
I still don’t understand how to view this—whether in esports or on streams.
In the last update, the Deadlock developers added Nurse Harrow to the game. She became the last of the six heroes announced in the “Sleepless City” update.
