Deadlock set a new online record, surpassing the 300,000-player mark
On the evening of October 16, 303,347 people logged into Deadlock—a record number of players for Valve’s MOBA project.
Deadlock’s concurrent player count had not exceeded 125,000 until September 29, 2026—the day Valve released the major “City That Never Sleeps” update, which introduced six new heroes and an updated map to the game.
Earlier today, October 17, Violet—one of the six heroes announced in the “City That Never Sleeps” update—was added to Deadlock.
