South Korea will issue postage stamps in honor of Faker

Станислав Бранзбург

The South Korean Postal Service will release a collection of stamps dedicated to Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, the mid laner for the T1 League of Legends team. Sales will begin on October 23, 2026. The club announced this on social media.

The series will include ten different stamps depicting iconic moments from the esports player’s career. The total print run will be 1.36 million copies.

An exhibition at the Seoul Museum of Postage Stamps was organized to coincide with the release. It opened on October 10 with Faker in attendance. Visitors will be able to view the collection before it goes on sale, see his gaming uniform and other memorabilia, watch a video about his career, and participate in themed activities.

Faker has been competing professionally since 2013. During that time, he has won the World Championship six times—including the last three tournaments in a row—as well as ten LCK titles, two MSI trophies, and two gold medals at the Asian Games. In January 2026, he became the first esports athlete to receive the Blue Dragon Medal—the highest honor of South Korea’s Order of Sports Merit.

Earlier, Faker became the first inductee into the Riot Games Hall of Fame—commemorative skins and a documentary were released in his honor. Collectible medals, Razer mice, and a Secretlab chair have also been dedicated to him. And on October 9, True Damage released the music video for “Know My Name” in honor of the 2026 World Championship. The video chronicles Faker’s victories and defeats on the path to T1’s three consecutive championships.
