ONIC roamer Niki “Kiboy” Pontonovu discussed the match against Aurora Gaming—which ended in a victory for the Indonesian roster—in a post-match interview with the organizers of the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026, and spoke about the team’s readiness to face Team Spirit.
On the difference between the first and second matches against Aurora Gaming
In the group stage, we weren’t fully prepared. Aurora played very aggressively and drafted well. Today, we understood what our opponents were going to do, which is why we were able to fight back.
After losing in the first round, we focused on our upcoming match against Team Spirit, put the disappointing first map behind us, and kept playing.
On the upcoming match against Team Spirit
ONIC wants to become champions again and is ready to claim its second MSC trophy.
In our previous match against Team Spirit, we weren’t ready, just as we weren’t against Aurora Gaming. Now our roster is ready to take on the “dragons.”
ONIC defeated Aurora Gaming 3–2 in the quarterfinals of the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026 playoffs. Kiboy’s team has advanced to the tournament’s semifinals, where they will face Team Spirit for a spot in the grand final of the global competition as part of the Esports World Cup 2026.
