Kzen on King of Gamers Club: “At first, people didn’t pay much attention to us. We were the underdogs.”

King of Gamers Club jungler Ken Louis Bermudez “Kzen” Pyle, along with the team’s coach Justin Hamot “Coach Justine” Kanoi, appeared on the 8G podcast on the Wolf Casts YouTube channel. The esports players reflected on how they adapted to the Thai roster and discussed the relationships among the players on the team.
On getting to know the team
Kzen: It was pretty easy to get used to playing on a Thai team. My teammates expressed a desire to learn English to make communication within the team easier. That really brought us closer together.
Although we had cultural differences, we brought our Filipino organizational style and shared new gaming practices. For example, we started going to the gym every morning to work out before scrims.
On the team’s early days on the Thai pro scene
Kzen: At first, people didn’t pay much attention to us. We were the underdogs. Thai fans and commentators were mostly confident in Bacon Time and Buriram United Esports. Only those teams enjoyed the greatest popularity in the region. They believed that those teams were the favorites in Thailand and the likely winners of MLBB Super League Thailand Season 1.
On the age of the King of Gamers Club players
Coach Justine: I think the fact that the players on our team aren’t selfish played a huge role in our victory at MSL TH Season 1. If someone expresses an opinion, we listen to them and discuss it together. It’s pretty easy to teach and learn in an atmosphere like this.
Each of us can contribute something unique, even though we have teammates who are quite a bit older. For example, I’m 25, while Framezy and Hiwko are around 30. At first, I felt like they didn’t take me seriously as a coach, but I quickly realized that they treat me with respect, regardless of the age difference. We just needed to talk it through and clear up any doubts.
Earlier, King of Gamers Club mid-laner Chayakrit “Framezy” Buangern, along with roamer Pongpanata “Hiwko” Ryuangareerat, discussed the team’s preparations for their opponents during the international competition in an interview at the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026.
