Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Update as of August 25, 2026: Buffs to Obsidian and Hayabusa

Official Art for Obsidian

On August 25, the developers of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang released a new patch for the mobile MOBA’s main server. As part of the update, MOONTON Games reworked Obsidian’s ultimate ability, buffed Hayabusa’s skills, and nerfed tank builds for Hanzo.

Hero Changes

These hero adjustments were made based on recent ranked and professional matches. Additional adjustments will be included in the next update. Good luck climbing the ranks on the battlefield!

The symbols (↑) (↓) (~) indicate a buff, nerf, and change, respectively.

Atlas (↓)

The movement speed bonus from Atlas’s second ability was too high, giving him excessive mobility across the map. We’ve slightly nerfed the ability to reduce the frequency of chases and combat initiations.

Skill 2 (↓)

  • Movement Speed Increase: 40% >> 30%;
  • Cooldown: 12–10 seconds >> 13–11 seconds.

Hanzo (~)

Builds designed to increase Hanzo’s survivability provided him with excessive durability and health regeneration, which deviated from our original intent. This adjustment causes the health regeneration from his ability to scale with physical attack, reducing the advantages of semi-tank builds and encouraging players to create attack-oriented builds.

Ability 1 (~)

  • Health regeneration when attacking Turtles, Lords, or enemy heroes: 10%–20% of health >> 150–450 (+ 80% of total physical attack);
  • Hanekage’s bonus damage at maximum passive skill charges: 15 (+ 2% of bonus physical attack) >> 12 (+ 3% of bonus physical attack).

Ultimate (~)

  • Health regeneration upon returning to the body: 16% of health at all levels >> 360–520 (+100% of bonus physical attack).

Hayabusa (↑)

We noticed that, as an assassin, Hayabusa’s first ability dealt somewhat low damage, and his second ability was quite difficult to use. Most of his power was concentrated in his ultimate, a skill that required minimal execution—which didn’t fit his ninja image. So we’ve made some adjustments.

Skill 1 (↑)

  • Damage: 220–280 (+75% of bonus physical attack) >> 220–300 (+75%–85% of bonus physical attack).

Ability 2 (↑)

  • Phantom’s hitbox width: 0.8 >> 1

Gameplay Optimization: Increased the crosshair movement speed for Skill 2.

Ultimate (↓)

  • Attack damage: 140 (+32% of bonus physical attack) >> 130 (+30% of bonus physical attack);
  • Bonus damage from Shadow Mark: 90–150 (+40%–60% of bonus physical attack) >> 90–120 (+40%–50% of bonus physical attack)

Obsidian (↑)

To improve the hero’s low effectiveness as a marksman in the early and mid-game, we’ve increased the attack speed bonus and allowed turrets to trigger her passive ability to speed up charge accumulation. We’ve also changed the ultimate’s bonus—now, when dealing damage, it generates a shield that increases the hero’s survivability instead of increasing attack speed.

Stats (↑)

  • Attack Speed Bonus: 1% >> 1.5%.

Passive Ability (↑)

  • New Effect: Obsidia gains 2 energy when her attacks hit turrets.

Ultimate (~)

  • Removed effect: Gains 30% attack speed when attacking an enemy hero;
  • New effect: Gains a shield when attacking an enemy hero;
  • Shield Strength: 200 (+25 per shard).

Battlefield Changes

Equipment Adjustments

Storm Belt (↓)

We’ve noticed that some assassins were gaining too much of an advantage from the Storm Belt, so we’ve added this role to the item’s existing restrictions.

  • Effect adjustment: 50% reduction for Marksmen/Mages >> 50% reduction for Marksmen/Mages/Assassins.
