Level UP jungler Danil “shelianer” Gribovsky shared on his personal Telegram channel the challenges he faced before his match against CyberHero in the regular season of MLBB Continental Championships Season 8.
So, guys, hello everyone.
So here’s what happened. We were about to call out our roles before the tour, and my power went out right after the last roll call. There were about 20 minutes left until the tour. I didn’t know what to do. Well, I made a decision almost right away—to head to the gaming club. I thought I made it in time, but when I got there, they told me, “Everything’s taken.” I mean, every single computer—everything. Those jerks were all playing Dota 2.
I had to go to the nearest coffee shop. There, I ordered some cheese sticks so they wouldn’t kick me out for just sitting there. The Wi-Fi, of course, left a lot to be desired—the ping was supposedly 20, but there was a serious lag in Discord; I could hear my teammates about 4 seconds later, or maybe 3. So, a fight is going on, people are yelling “Bruno, Bruno, Bruno”—we’d already played out that fight and were leaving—but I could only hear that “Bruno, Bruno.” Well… I was playing as Hirara, Fanny was very passive; I tried not to do any super-aggressive moves because it was all very dangerous. I would’ve danced much better on Hirara if it weren’t for those sharp 280s and 240s. Plus, I couldn’t land my stabs properly. Anyway, that’s about it. Thanks to everyone who watched, thanks to everyone who was there. <...>
Level UP defeated CyberHero 2-0 on the second day of the first week of the MCC Season 8 regular season. The team’s next match in the competition is scheduled for today, August 30, when shelianer’s squad will face off against Rune Eaters in a best-of-three series.
