The Esports World Cup Foundation has officially announced that the former Verso Time roster will not be participating in the MLBB tournament

The organizers of the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026 have released an official statement on their social media accounts regarding the former Verso Time roster’s withdrawal from the global championship.
The Esports World Cup team regrets to announce that Verso Time will be unable to participate in the wild-card stage of the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026 due to circumstances that prevent the team from traveling to Paris, France.
The EWC team and MOONTON Games worked closely with Verso Time to explore all available options to ensure the team’s participation. Unfortunately, the situation could not be resolved in time.
In accordance with the official tournament rules, Verso Time’s slot will not be replaced—all scheduled Group B matches involving the team will be counted as automatic wins for their opponents. The team will also be placed 25th in the competition.
We thank the Verso Time organization for their professionalism throughout this process and wish the team all the best in their future endeavors.
Earlier, former Verso Time coach Vladimir “Ospreay” Gonchar explained why the Verso Time roster failed to qualify for the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026 and noted that the issues regarding the organization’s future and the players’ departure from the club had long since been resolved.
