Both sets start from the same ten respawns but are thrown differently. For the Connector, the timing of the grenade release is crucial, while for the Boost, a precise W + Jump Throw is key.

You can throw smoke into the Connector from any of the ten attack respawns. Run toward the roof and perform a Jumpthrow while moving. If your crosshair is below the letters, throw as you touch the letters. If it’s already aimed at the letters, wait until you touch the edge of the roof. Setang provides only the initial aim. The range depends on your run-up and the timing of the throw. Do not move the mouse while running.

Smoke on a boost can also be thrown from all ten attack respawns. The method is the same everywhere: hold W and perform a Jumpthrow. You don’t need to run up for very long.

This smoke extinguishes the hammer that’s flying toward the boost. To ensure the grenade hits consistently, press W and perform a Jumpthrow in one fluid motion without taking an extra step.

One setang in the connector isn’t enough. It sets the landing position, but the range depends on the run-up. If you throw it too early or too late, the smoke won’t reach the right spot. You don’t need a long run-up for the boost. Press W and the jump button simultaneously. An extra step will alter the grenade’s trajectory. Do not mix setpos from different sets. This article uses the ten respawn points shown on the cards.

First, master the smoke for the boost. The aiming techniques vary, but W + Jump Throw is used everywhere. Perform five precise repetitions and move on to the next respawn point. Then practice the connector. Run the desired path several times without throwing the smoke. If the crosshair starts below the letters, throw when it touches the letters. If it’s already on the letters, wait for the edge of the roof. At the end, restart the round and call out your respawn number before throwing. This will help you recognize the start of the match faster.
