On Cache, flashbangs are especially important in the mid and at the narrow exits from A-main and B-main. This guide compiles five simple strategies for both attack and defense. Each diagram shows the position, a magnified aiming marker, and the spot where the flashbang blinds the opponent. You can open the screenshots next to the game and follow along step by step to replicate the throws. Flashbang placement on Cache doesn’t require a complex pre-planned system. Start by mastering the mid-lane flashbang and one opening throw for your plant site, then add defensive options.
On the attack, these flashbangs help secure mid, push the short lane, and open B. Use them before your teammate arrives, not after the first engagement.
A flashbang in mid helps attackers initiate the fight for the center of the map and check the defense’s key positions. Position yourself as shown in the first frame, aim at the landmark, and perform LMB + jumpthrow from a standing position.

The short throw is useful before a player exits who is continuing their movement from mid. Stand as shown in the first frame, aim at the specified landmark, and throw the grenade with a left-click without jumping.

The “Bottle Opener” on B is designed for an active advance: your movement and the jump-throw must happen simultaneously. Aim, start moving forward with the W key, and while moving, press LMB + RMB + jump-throw.

For CT, you need quick grenades in both mains. They allow the support player to stop an early push or safely re-pick after getting intel.
For CT, a flashbang in the B-main helps the support counter a quick push into the plant site. Position yourself as shown in the first frame, aim at the landmark, and perform LMB + jumpthrow from a standing position.

A flash in the A-main gives the support player a safer way to test the main attack exit. Stand as shown in the first frame, aim at the landmark, and perform LMB + jumpthrow from a standing position.

First, master the flash to mid and the opener to B. If you play defense more often, add the variation for the main that corresponds to your position. Check the throw’s accuracy and detonation timing. A good flashbang should go off a split second before your teammate emerges.
