aliStair: “In my opinion, MIBR is a very strong team”

THUNDERdOWNUNDER sniper Alistair “aliStair” Johnston assessed the recent matches against MIBR and B8 Esports in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026.
On the match against MIBR
In my opinion, MIBR is a very strong team, but we prepared well for them, specifically against their style. I would really like for us to show the level of play we’re capable of—that’s our main goal.
On the match against B8 Esports
We’re trying to adapt, but we also have a game plan. It’s good that they felt uncomfortable playing against us. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to show great defense, but we have an ace up our sleeve, so don’t count us out.
On individual performance
I’m glad my teammates stepped up. As for me personally, this is just the beginning of my career, so hopefully there’s more to come.
Earlier, THUNDERdOWNUNDER defeated MIBR on Inferno (13-6) but lost to B8 Esports on Dust2 (11-13) in the first stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026. Right now, the Australian team is playing against BIG.
