Team Vitality players Dan “apEX” Madeskler and Shahar “flameZ” Shushan discussed their team’s victory over MOUZ in the ESL Pro League Season 24 final, talked about their comeback on Dust2, and shared their thoughts on the “bees” era.
apEX: Although MOUZ often lost to us in 2025, they had a lot of wins against top teams like Spirit. After revamping their roster, they got stronger. But when we’re playing this well, no one can beat us. Last time, MOUZ deserved the win. Nevertheless, in this final, we were the best team on the server.
flameZ: We enjoy playing against the guys from MOUZ for many reasons—including Spinx’s departure. We knew we’d definitely win the final. Handing trophies over to our opponents isn’t our style.
apEX: On Dust2, our game wasn’t going well until the score was 9–12. Then I said, “Guys, we can make a comeback; we just need to focus and play our style. I promise, we’ll win.” What makes this team incredible is that everyone can step up instantly. We started moving more aggressively around the map and coming up with more ideas. In the end, we managed to force overtime and win.
flameZ: We’ve never cared about the era. We just want to play Counter-Strike well and lift trophies. We have an amazing roster. We’re very good friends. We want to win as many tournaments as possible together while we still can.
Yesterday, Team Vitality defeated MOUZ in the ESL Pro League Season 24 final with a 3-0 map score (13-8 on Cache, 13-7 on Inferno, and 16-12 on Dust2). apEX’s team took first place in the tournament and earned $295,000.
