Team Falcons assistant coach Aymeinstein “Aymeinstein” Bencheikh, in a video on Martin “STYKO” STYKO, discussed his approach to the “Falcons’” star players and reflected on working with Finn “karrigan” Andersen.
On the approach to Team Falcons’ star players
In my opinion, every star player is unique. I don’t need to teach NiKo how to play CS—he’s been competing at the Tier 1 level for 15 years. He’s one of the most experienced, intelligent, and consistent players in the world. My job is to provide information that helps him make more confident decisions on the server. I pick up on key details and offer NiKo several options, from which he chooses the best one.
As for m0NESY, zonic and I work together to provide feedback on his gameplay and try to diversify his patterns a bit—for example, rotations—because if he repeats them too often, opponents will figure out how to counter them pretty quickly.
On working with karrigan
I don’t think karrigan needs any advice on callmaking. He’s very smart and knows exactly what he wants to do. My role is to provide him with useful information before matches and make his work off the server easier. karrigan watches a lot of demos, and my notes often help him understand the key characteristics of our opponents.
