Best result was a victory at the BLAST Open London 2025: SunPayus’s key statistics with G2 Esports

G2 Esports recently moved Álvaro “SunPayus” García to the bench. Below are the Spaniard’s key statistics from his 11 months with the “Samurai.”
SunPayus played 215 maps for G2 Esports with a rating of 1.05. The sniper’s best Tier 1 tournament during this period was BLAST Rivals Fort Worth 2026, where his average rating was 1.16, while his worst was the Esports World Cup 2025 (0.7). The player had a rating above 1.0 in 59.1% of his total maps. With the Spaniard on the roster, G2 competed in two Majors, and its win rate over the past 11 months was 54.9%.
SunPayus’s toughest opponent was Team Falcons, against whom he played 8 maps with a rating of 0.76. Meanwhile, the sniper’s easiest matchup was against FlyQuest, where he managed to post a rating of 1.62.
SunPayus’s best result while playing for G2 Esports was a first-place finish at the BLAST Open London 2025. Since that victory, the “Samurai” have not managed to reach the semifinals of a major tournament even once. As for Majors, the team finished the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 in 9th–11th place and placed 5th–8th at the IEM Cologne Major 2026.
Earlier, G2 Esports signed Artem “r1nkle” Moroz as the sniper for its CS2 roster—prior to that, the Ukrainian had played for B8 Esports and Ninjas in Pyjamas. The team is currently ranked 9th in the Valve rankings.
