Boombl4: “While I was on Cloud 9, I wanted to prove to NAVI that kicking me was a mistake.”
BetBoom Team captain Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov, in an interview at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, assessed his team’s recent results and current form, reflected on the team’s progress and its standing on the pro scene, and spoke about his personal rivalry with Natus Vincere.
On BetBoom Team’s recent results
Our team didn’t start this season very well—I think a lot of us were really nervous. At the Thunderpick World Championship 2026, we overcame our fear and just tried to enjoy the game. Here, we managed to make it to the playoffs with a 3-0 record—I’m very happy with this result. We feel like we’ve made significant progress.
On the team’s form at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026
zorte is performing exceptionally well in this tournament. If I’m not mistaken, he’s among the top 5 players statistically. Magnojez, for his part, is our team’s superstar, and s1ren and the rest of the guys are shooting well. I think our excellent teamwork is a big factor in our performance. Of course, if you don’t have good individual skills, you won’t be able to win important matches. I’m glad that every player is stepping up on the server. I hope we continue to perform in the same vein.
On the team’s position in the pro scene
Sometimes we give away silly rounds in official matches, and then lose in the same situations during practice matches. But we shouldn’t dwell on that. Right now, we’re not among the consistent Tier 1 teams, but we’re working on ourselves and keep playing despite setbacks and stress.
After finishing second in the last tournament, we realized that we can beat any opponent. Now we need to gain experience and qualify for a Major to keep improving. We’ll be happy if we win a tournament. Otherwise, our young team will gain the necessary experience.
On my personal rivalry with Natus Vincere
I think that when I was on Cloud 9, I wanted to prove to NAVI that kicking me was a mistake. A lot of time has passed since then. I don’t care about it anymore. Life goes on, and I have a new team. Right now, I don’t want any revenge—I’m just playing Counter-Strike.
