Devilwalk on Perfecto’s departure from Virtus.pro: “I hope he gets a chance to prove himself.”
Host James “BanKs” Banks and analyst Jonathan “Devilwalk” Lundberg, in the latest episode of the All About Counter-Strike podcast, discussed 1w Team’s decision to sign the TDK roster, commented on Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutsky from Virtus.pro, and shared their thoughts on Justinas “jL” Lekavičius’s move to Team Vitality as a stand-in.
On the transfer of TDK players to 1w Team
BanKs: 1w Team disbanded its roster and signed the TDK players. This decision makes perfect sense. An interesting team has now come together under the 1w banner. It definitely has potential. Now, with the organization’s support, the roster can focus on grinding and competing in European VRS tournaments. I think Ax1Le now has the opportunity to return to the top level. As for fame, I really respect him as a player. It’s a very good team.
On Perfecto’s departure from Virtus.pro
Devilwalk: I hope he gets a chance to prove himself. Perfecto was brought in to pull Virtus.pro out of the slump, but he couldn’t handle the task. Of course, he bears no responsibility for the team’s decline. I’m confident that his accumulated experience and high individual potential will help Perfecto find a good organization where he can return to his former level.
On jL’s invite to Team Vitality
BanKs: Team Vitality made a smart move by inviting jL as a stand-in. Of course, given the current meta and his strong performances over the past year and a half, it will be much harder for the team to win tournaments with a substitute, especially after apEX’s departure. Mezii will likely serve as Vitality’s captain at PGL Masters Bucharest—he already has experience in that role. We’ll see how it all plays out. I know that jL is currently attending all of the team’s practices.
