Legacy rifler Eduardo “dumau” Volkmer, in an interview during ESL Pro League Season 24, discussed playing alongside analyst Pedro “bobz” Rojo instead of Andrei “arT” Piovessana, commented on his team’s current standing in the VRS rankings, and shared his expectations for the match against PARIVISION.
bobz is doing a good job as a stand-in. He’s a great guy who really cares about us. I think he’ll be able to fill the gap in the roster. He’s known arT for a long time and understands his system perfectly.
Our expectations for this tournament have changed a bit due to arT’s absence, but I think we’ve kept our usual approach. There are things we can’t control. We just need to keep believing in each other and give it our all in the upcoming matches. We know we’re capable of winning, and besides, there’s no pressure on us.
Right now, we’re focusing on our own game, because our main goal is to win Tier 1 tournaments. It doesn’t matter where we stand in the VRS rankings. Our team trains hard and respects our opponents. We don’t have time to think about the world’s top two—if we lose today or tomorrow, we could drop even lower.
PARIVISION is a good team. Matches against them are always intense; you have to stay on your toes at all times. I think we’re in for an interesting match today.
Legacy previously won FISSURE PLAYGROUND 3 — CS. In the final, the Brazilians defeated G2 Esports 3–0 and took home $300,000 in prize money. The team currently ranks second in the VRS world rankings.
