Gizmy spoke out after leaving Monte

Jack “Gizmy” von Sprekelsen, former captain of Monte’s Counter-Strike 2 roster, commented on his departure from the team. The British esports player shared his thoughts on his personal Telegram channel.
Hi everyone! You’ve probably already seen the news from HLTV about the roster and what happened, but of course, I’d like to say a few words myself. Yes, after the Major, the core of the team—Afro, Bymas, and AZUWU—told me they were leaving Monte for another organization and had signed contracts even before the Major. That’s basically the whole story, so essentially I was left without a team. Yeah, obviously, this isn’t the most pleasant news. There’s not much to say about it. I just took a little break; this weekend I went to a festival with friends—that helped take my mind off things a bit. But yeah, obviously, the team makes decisions to essentially protect itself or, you know, make smart business moves, so everything’s fine. These things happen. After all, business is business. Although, of course, that doesn’t change the fact that when something like this happens, it’s tough.
I’ve been with these guys for a very long time, I’ve always loved them dearly, and the fact that it all ended this way is pretty sad. Very sad, actually. But sometimes that’s just how it goes. So yes, as of now I’ve already joined a new team, which is why the announcement will come later. So, of course, I hope you’ll continue to support me. Actually, there isn’t that much I want to say. Right now, I don’t have many words to describe everything that’s happening, but I’m okay. I’m okay. Yeah, I hope I can do well with my new team once it’s announced. And, of course, thank you, guys, for your support. It meant a lot to me during the Major. It was really nice to read all your messages. Thank you so much for that, and let’s see what the future has in store for us.
Earlier, Monte announced the departure of Jack “Gizmy” von Sprekelsen. Prior to that, Aurélien “afro” Drapier, Oscar “AZUWU” Bell, Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras, and Alex “Rainwaker” Petrov also left the organization to join Luminosity Gaming.
