BIG’s CS2 sniper, Gleb “gr1ks” Gazin, commented on his team’s victory in the open qualifiers for the Esports World Cup 2026 in CS2 and their earned spot in the main event on his personal Telegram channel.
Awesome. So, we made it to the main event. I’m happy. We played really well as a team. Overall, everyone shot well. Decision-making, communication. The only thing was, things got a little messy on Inferno. I mean, like, what map was that even? The sixth map of the day—I was exhausted myself; I wasn’t exactly “lost,” but I was just completely drained, you know? I totally zoned out for a moment there, then we went outside, reset, I washed my face, things got a little better, and that was it—we finished Ancient. I still had one more… I was down 0-7 or something like that, and when I got my first kill, a guy said to me, “Congrats on joining the server.” And then we neatly—op!—took them down. So thanks to everyone who cheered us on. I’m incredibly happy. I’m *** [very] pleased. I realize that we actually deserved this, considering the bracket we were in. So thanks to everyone. Yesterday, BIG defeated Sashi Esport in the decisive match at the Esports World Cup 2026: Last Chance Qualifier in a best-of-3 series with a score of 2:1, securing their spot in the main tournament alongside K27, 100 Thieves, and JijieHao.
