Team Liquid captain Johnny “JT” Theodosiou shared his thoughts in an interview at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 after his team lost to Team Spirit in the tournament’s quarterfinals.
On the match against Team Spirit on Dust2
We made a lot of costly mistakes that prevented us from winning. In my opinion, on Dust2 we made some major errors during the rounds when we were buying gear. These things happen; we tried to keep fighting.
On the game on Anubis
The same thing happened on Anubis; we didn’t execute our game plan correctly. But that’s normal—we’re a somewhat new team. We haven’t practiced the strategies we’re currently running enough. But I’m glad we managed to get this far.
On the team’s morale
We work hard and know that each of us is giving it our all—that helps. We’re doing everything we can. Today was an off day; we made mistakes and have already talked about them. We tried not to get discouraged, to fight in every round, and I think we had a chance right up until the very end.
Earlier today, Team Liquid lost 0-2 to Team Spirit in a quarterfinal match of the BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 playoffs. On the first map, Dust2, Johnny “JT” Theodosiou’s team lost 7–13, and on Anubis, they were unable to mount a comeback, losing 5–13. As a result, they finished the tournament in 5th–8th place.
