karrigan on Team Falcons: “We just need to keep up the momentum. We have a great team.”

Team Falcons captain Finn “karrigan” Andersen shared his thoughts in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 following their victory over Team Spirit, spoke about the “Falcons” and his participation in the tournament, and reflected on the upcoming match against FURIA in the grand final.
On the victory over Team Spirit
It was a great match. I’ll never forget losing to Spirit 11–13 on the decider map of the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 final. Today, when we won, I thought, “That’s how it’s supposed to be.” The way we managed to take four rounds in a row in overtime… I’m just thrilled with the team’s performance.
On Team Falcons’ performance
We just need to keep up the momentum. We have a great team. We’ve shown time and again that we can stage comebacks in the most hopeless situations. Playing in matches like these feels like second nature to me. Even when we faced enormous pressure in our games against Vitality and Spirit, we held our ground and managed to win.
On his participation in the IEM Cologne Major 2026
It’s hard to believe that just two months ago, I was supposed to miss the IEM Cologne Major. And now here I am, in the arena, in front of an amazing crowd, and we’re putting on a thrilling match. The grand final is ahead of us.
On the upcoming final against FURIA
This will be my fourth Major final in CS2—it’s about time I finally won. We’re in for a tough match. FURIA is playing brilliantly, and their captain, FalleN, has done a fantastic job. I have a lot of respect for him. We’ve been rivals since the early days of CS:GO, and we’re still competing at the Tier 1 level, despite all the talk about our age. May the best team win.
Team Falcons defeated Team Spirit in the semifinals of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 with a 2-1 map score. Today, karrigan’s team will face FURIA in the championship final, which will take place at 6:00 p.m. Moscow time.
